What is this exactly? It was a button right behind the backseat of a Lincoln Towncar. First of all, it was in a car, making the anchor image seem somewhat inappropriate unless perhaps we launched into the water, in which case I think a life raft would have been more suitable.

Diaz's first novel that won the 2008 Pulitzer for fiction. My words won't do it justice. Just read it. Bill Bryson: The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid: A Memoir
Reading Bryson's book about growing up in Des Moines is not unlike strolling through my own childhood. Despite the 25 years that passed between Bryson's days in DSM and my own, very little seems to have changed. My grandfather's clothing store, Frankels, also makes a few appearances in the story. Since I never met my grandfather, it is cool to read about him through another person's lens.

a. Make sure your toddler's nautical gear is safely stored in the back
or
b. This is where you hook that stupid strap on your kids car seat that always clanks around when you carry it and never stays tucked in wherever you tuck the tucking thing. By the way, what the hell is that kid doing in this Lincoln Towncar? You'd better make sure that little brat doesn't get ice cream on the leather.
